There is a new, outdoor fitness court now open in Moose Lake township to help area residents of all abilities stay fit and healthy.
You may never have seen anything like this because this is only the fourth one to be built in the State. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota in partnership with the National Fitness Campaign has just installed it in Moose Lake township.
Bukata Hayes, Chief Equity Officer for BCBS of Minnesota says the new fitness court offers a full body workout. “There are seven stations. You can complete it as quick as 10 minutes to stay healthy, or you can do more focused exercises on every region of the body.”
Hayes says, to make it fun and easier to track your progress, there is a state-of-the-art technology element. “It’s really interactive. There is a QR code that you can scan which then gives you different workouts based on what you’re trying to achieve. So yeah, really interactive in terms of how you’re able to utilize this fitness court.”
The goal is to provide free access to everyone and anyone to world-class equipment and to encourage folks in our region to live healthier lives, all on your own schedule and at your own pace.
