BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A new distribution center is coming to Bedford County.

Air Filter Systems has purchased land in the Montvale Center for Commerce in Bedford County.

Pam Armstrong, the Economic Development Director said this is a big positive for the area.

Any time you have new jobs and investment, that is new revenue for the county. It’s great for Bedford County. Montvale is an untapped resource that we have,” Armstrong said.

Not only has the company invested $1.5 million, but will bring more jobs in.

They are bringing 15 jobs with them and they are pretty good paying jobs with salaries of about $55,000 that is what they had told me. they will be hopefully adding 15 more over the next 5 years,” Armstrong said.

The center will distribute many different types of air filters.

According to Armstrong, the building construction will happen as soon as possible.

They hope to be open by the spring of next year.
