Live! Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, the largest new casino project in Louisiana, has launched its hiring process by posting more than 750 jobs, company officials said Friday.
The jobs are posted at Louisiana.LiveCasinoHotel.com/Careers and include positions in every operation of the resort, including hotel, gaming, finance, marketing, human resources, information technologies, food and beverage, facilities, security and surveillance and more.
Full-time and part-time positions are available in all departments and all shifts. Company officials said they will also scheduled job fairs in the coming weeks.
The $270 million Cordish Companies property, which will be the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market, is set for a first quarter 2025 opening.
“We are building an exceptional team at Live! Louisiana. Whether you’re a seasoned industry professional or looking to start a new career, now is the perfect time to apply,” Live! general manager and executive vice president John Chaszar said in a press release. “Our goal is to hire a diverse group of talented team members and provide them with the training and development opportunities needed to succeed.
“Our team members are projected to earn a combined $34 million annually in salaries, wages and tips. This will have a tremendous impact on both individual livelihoods and the regional economy.”
Interested applicants are asked to register for an online account, which officials said will expedite the application process.
Cordish’s top executives have promised that the new Live! Casino will be a destination resort that will attract conventions and tourists from beyond Louisiana’s borders.
“It’s going to have a quality and energy that when you walk into this property, you’ll feel like you’re in a premier casino and resort in the top gaming markets, including Las Vegas,” said Jon Cordish, a partner with The Cordish Companies, in a previous interview with USA Today Network.
Joshua Robinson, vice president of marketing, told USA Today Network customers will experience “a wow factor” when they walk in the door, from the gaming floor to the entertainment venues to the restaurants like The Prime Rib and Luk Fu.
“It’s going to be a fully immersive entertainment destination,” he said.
