PALM DESERT, Calif. – The North Dakota State women’s golf team bounced back with a win over Wyoming, 4-0-1, in round two at the Mountain Classic Match Play on Tuesday afternoon.
Hannah Dunk picked up a 5&4 victory with a birdie on hole six and then used six straight pars to open up a five-hole advantage by hole 14. Norah Roberts followed it up earning her second win of the week after topping Kira Reisner, 6&4. Roberts recorded birdies on hole nine, 12 and 14 to help close out the match on hole 14.
Madi Hicks added another win for the Bison after edging Sophie Spiva, 4&3. She notched birdies on hole six and 11 and used eight pars to finish the match out on hole 15. Elise Hoven wrapped the day with a 1&0 win after battling to all square through 17 holes before closing the final hole with a par to secure the victory.
Lily Vincelli, who competed as an individual, also added a win, 2&0, after she put together three pars over the final three holes.
