The top-ranked Kansas and Iowa State men’s basketball teams will meet again on Monday night.
The No. 8 Iowa State Cyclones boast a 17-4 record and a 7-3 record in conference. No. 4 Auburn, West Virginia, Arizona, and most recently, Kansas State, were responsible for their four losses. Houston, Arizona, and Texas Tech occupy the top three spots in the Big 12.
The Kansas Jayhawks are 16-5 and sixth in the Big 12 with a 6-4 in-conference record. One of their five losses came against Iowa State in mid-January. The then-No. 2 Cyclones delivered a convincing 74-57 victory, an effort that was spearheaded by a 25-point outing from senior Guard Curtis Jones.
Zeke Mayo led the Jayhawks with 17 points and tied KJ Adams with a team-high two steals. Kansas has gone 3-2 since then, including a double-overtime loss to Houston.
