The Philadelphia 76ers had a terrific offseason as President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey was able to masterfully use the cap space he accrued by bringing in Paul George on a 4-year $212 million deal as well as make big additions to the supporting cast.
All in all, the Sixers enter the 2024-25 season with one of the strongest rosters in the NBA and a great chance at taking down the defending champion Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. A Big 3 of George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey should do wonders on the floor.
Before the 2024-25 season tips off, the annual NBA GM survey was released. All 30 GMs were surveyed on a variety of topics and they voted the Sixers as having the second-best offseason in the league with 33% of the vote behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder who received a majority of the vote at 37%.
However, the GMs did say that they believe George will have the biggest impact among all of the newcomers in the offseason as he received 67% of the vote. For good reason, too. He is a 9-time All-Star and is a perfect fit next to Embiid and Maxey in Philadelphia.
