NBA 2K25 has also made some gameplay innovations to MyPLAYER. A new Takeover system allows players to utilize unique skills to pull off big plays. Players will heat up the Takeover meter as they play, with each new level on the meter granting them access to more impactful skills. This, combined with changes to MyPLAYER’s Badge progression system, adds some new depth to how players approach NBA 2K25’s MyCAREER mode and how they progress with their custom athlete.
