Today saw the launch of NBA 2K25, which will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Those playing the New Gen version of the game will get to experience ProPLAY features, including new competitive game modes in MyTEAM and The City power. The features include nostalgic fan favorites and new role-playing opportunities in MyCAREER, MyNBA, The W, and more.
ProPLAY brings a new level of realism to NBA 2K25, with over 9,000 new animations that are directly translated from actual NBA footage. These animations included 1,500 dribbling animations and 1,100 signature shot animations from some of the most roistered NBA players of 2023-2024. To make this possible, NBA 2K25 features a new dribble engine which is also powered by ProPLAY, which gives dynamic motion from real NBA footage to the animations to give players a more immersive experience.
The City, a feature that has appeared in many of the NBA games has been reworked after receiving player feedback, bringing players to a new interactive City which allows players to feel more connected to the game. This includes a competitive hub on the Boulevard of the Stars and a ranked mode in the Proving Grounds. The City also sees the return of MyCOURT and MyPARKS, as well as some extra features to make it as immersive as possible.

NBA 2K25 Seasons includes all-new rewards and earnable content every six weeks, with Season 1 starting from launch. Each Season will have 40 seasonal rewards and items for players to earn on the free track. The Season 1 Pro Pass features an additional 40 levels of premium content that can be earned before the end of Season 1. The game also features 61 tracks in the soundtrack. New music is added at the start of each season, with updates coming from major record labels such as Capitol and Interscope, providing some familiar sounds as a backdrop to your gaming session.
NBA 2K25 will cost you $69.99 on current generation consoles and $59.99 on last generation consoles as well as PC. However, this price is only for the standard edition. If you want to purchase the All-Star Edition, it’s $99.99 for both generation versions. For the Hall of Fame Edition of NBA 2K25, it will set you back a whopping $149.99.
