NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB) – The City of Natchitoches, Louisiana, has been named one of America’s favorite Christmas shopping destinations, according to Present.com.

The site ranks Natchitoches #105 out of 150 locations in the United States for best main streets for Christmas shopping.

Front Street is especially popular during the holiday season, known for its famous Festival of Lights. The area’s charming shops and festive decorations create a magical atmosphere for Christmas shopping, making it a memorable experience for visitors. This event brings the community together and encourages people to visit the town.

“I’m blessed to be the mayor of this great city, really a jewel in Louisiana, especially in North Louisiana,” said Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. “We’ve received these recognitions before, even before I became mayor, and throughout my time in office. It’s a reflection of the hard work our community puts in to make Natchitoches a great place, and these awards show that.”

Mayor Williams believes that honors like this will help boost tourism in Natchitoches, drawing more visitors to the town in the future.
