The double-fatal crash in Vineland on Thursday evening killed a beloved youth football coach and a 9-year-old player from a different team following a scrimmage, a league official said
The motorcyclist, Addiel A. Ortiz, 31, of Millville, was a coach for the Vineland Blitz, which hosted the Upper Township Indians prior to the crash, according to the Cape-Atlantic Junior Football League.
The 9-year-old boy was identified in a GoFundMe.com as Easton Beisler. The wife of an Upper Township coach said the crash took place as the boy was leaving the scrimmage. Easton’s 42-year-old mother, a resident of the Ocean View section of Upper Township, was driving the SUV that collided with motorcycle, according to Vineland police.
