There were plenty of reasons to celebrate for five Muskegon-area boys basketball teams Friday night, as they captured district championship hardware and moved one step closer to the dream of playing for a state title in March.
It was also the end of the road for seven local teams who fell short of their postseason aspirations and saw their season come to an unceremonious end.
