Morehead, Ky.– Former Morehead State star Josh Teater fired a four-round total 271 (-17) to earn a T-7 finish at the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the 7,141-yard, par 72 Abaco Club on Winding Bay in Great Abaco, Bahamas.
Playing in his second tournament of the season, Teater fired rounds of 69-66-67-69. He carded 25 birdies and one eagle in the four rounds. Through his first two events of the season on the Korn Ferry Tour, he has posted a 68.5 scoring average.
Teater opened the season last week with a T-45 finish at the Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island in Paradise Island, Bahamas, posting 274 (-6).
The Lexington native turned pro in 2001 after his career at Morehead State, and has played in more than 200 events on the PGA Tour. His top finish on the PGA Tour was a runner-up result at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open. He won the Korn Ferry Tour’s 2009 Utah Championship Presented by the Utah Sports Commission.
