GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – The Grand Junction Economic Partnership said Morgan Mining is expanding operations to Western Colorado, bringing almost 900 jobs. Morgan Mining specializes in labor, production management, and supplies for mining operations. Positions will include engineers, electricians, and finance roles.
They said the average wage would be 92 thousand dollars a year, which they said is more than 150% of the average annual wage in Mesa County. “This is a historic win for the Grand Junction Economic Partnership and the community at large. When you bring such a high concentration of jobs, with a high salary, that just helps from a robust economic standpoint,” said Curtis Englehart from Grand Junction Economic Partnership.
More than 10 million dollars in performance-based job growth tax credits were approved for the company.
