A pair of Bob Baffert-trained juveniles worked bullets at Santa Anita on Monday morning. Citizen Bull and Gaming, who worked in company, were clocked in 59.0 seconds for their five-furlong works.
Citizen Bull was working for the first time since winning the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes, and Gaming worked for the fourth time since his last-out victory in the Del Mar Futurity (G1). Both are targeting the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, according to a Monday news release from Santa Anita.
A star juvenile filly from Baffert’s barn also worked for the first time since winning a qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. In her second career start, Non Compliant won the Oak Leaf (G2) at Santa Anita on Oct. 5 by 2 1/4 lengths over stablemate Nooni. She returned to work Monday, covering four furlongs in 49.0 seconds.
