Mohonasen launches new Fitness Court in the Capital Region.
Mononasen School District’s new Fitness Court brings free access to outdoor workouts.
The district partnered with MVP Health Care and the National Fitness Campaign to create the outdoor facility for the school community.
District officials say the court is the first of its kind in the area, offering free and equitable access to outdoor exercise. The court features seven workout stations designed to give users a full body workout using their own bodyweight.
School Athletic Directo, Matthew Ronca demonstrated the stations at a ribbon cutting on Oct. 3.
The district said in a statement on its website: “The court is created for individuals 14 and older with all abilities and fitness levels in mind, the workouts are adaptable, allowing participants to move at their own pace.”
