They say when you’re playing golf, you’re playing against yourself. It’s a mental game so you’ll need anything you can to help you perfect your craft.
In MLB Network’s Siera Santos’ case, her motivation was, well — more surface level.
“I tried to take up golfing when I was in Oklahoma City and I intentionally tried to find the hottest golf instructor I possibly could so that I could so I was more motivated to go to my golf — I’m not kidding,” Santos said Friday on Intentional Talk. “I went about four lessons.”
So just how motivated was she?
“Obviously he wasn’t that attractive,” Santos added.

Ryan Dempster and Kevin Millar couldn’t help but laugh at her transparency.
But Santos isn’t giving up. She admitted she’s going to give it another shot.
“I’m going to try it again this offseason so that I can go golfing with you guys,” Santos said.
Millar would love it. He’s an avid golfer.
As a matter of fact, he admitted the American Century Championship is his own version of The Masters.
He also adds trash talking is part of the craft. He needs it when he’s going up against former All-Star pitcher Mark Mulder and Hall of Famer John Smoltz who are studs on the greens.
