Harbhajan Singh ETO, state Cabinet Minister for Power and Energy, inaugurated the inaugural cricket tournament organised by the Tara Chand Sandal Committee in Jandiala Guru on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering at the event, he stressed the importance of sports in promoting discipline and fostering both physical and mental development. He urged everyone to take part in sports, commending the youth-led initiative for organising the tournament.
The minister also highlighted the state government’s commitment to advancing sports, revealing top positions have been awarded to players excelling in their respective disciplines. “This effort to connect with the youth through sports will inspire many more to engage,”
he remarked.
