Mike Heffernan leaving CSS football, heading to alma mater
After seven years at the helm of Saint Scholastica football, Mike Heffernan has decided to move on and head to his alma mater.
Heffernan is headed to Elmhurst University to become their head football coach. Heffernan is an Elmhurst alum, but put in seven great seasons at CSS, transitioning the program into the MIAC. He mentored 10 All-MIAC players and four All-UMAC players during his time as head coach.
Before being named head coach at St. Scholastica in 2019, Heffernan served as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator in 2018, coaching five first team All-UMAC offensive players that season.
