Sometimes, the most exciting thing to happen at a game isn’t even the game itself. And that was definitely the case Monday at Breslin Center.
As Michigan State basketball fought through a tougher-than-expected matchup with Western Michigan, the loudest cheer of the day came when there was a stoppage in play.
During a commercial break in the second half, a fan drained a miracle, cross-court putt into a tiny target that earned him $1,000.
As expected, the crown went absolutely insane in total disbelief that the putt actually went in. Luckily for the fan, who was named “Kobe” according to the Big Ten Network broadcast, the target wasn’t an actual golf hole because the putt was showing no signs of slowing down when it crossed through the target.
The lucky fan was greeted with a shoulder bump from the MC in the building, and the guys on BTN commented that he may end up buying a few rounds of drinks at a local East Lansing watering hole tonight.
