Michigan State basketball had a crazy week of play this past week. The Spartans dropped a home game against Indiana, before going on the road to beat Illinois in dramatic fashion. All in all, the week favors more as a productive week, rather than a disappointing one.
With splitting this past week, after sitting at No. 11 in the polls, the Spartans are down three spots, falling to No. 14 in the latest edition of the AP Poll.
Similar to the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Michigan State is in a cluster of four Big Ten teams at No. 11 to No. 14. Differing from the coaches poll, MSU is at the No. 14 spot and Purdue is in the No. 13 spot, meanwhile Michigan is at No. 12 in both and Wisconsin is at No. 11.
The Spartans have two games against teams in this four pack cluster, hosting No. 13 Purdue on Tuesday before making the short trip to Ann Arbor to play against No. 12 Michigan on Friday.
