ANN ARBOR – One of Michigan’s most decorated high school golfers has found their collegiate home.
Ann Arbor Greenhills 3-time individual state champion Mia Melendez announced Friday on social media that she had committed to Howard University.
“I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am looking forward to beginning this new chapter in my career,” Melendez said in her social media post on Instagram.
Melendez finished her career with the Gryphons as one of 15 golfers in MHSAA history to win three individual state titles.
The star golfer capped her senior season at Greenhills with a third-place finish in the Division 4 state finals last month.
