The first round of the Mexican Open was on Monday, February 24, 2025, and the final is on Saturday, March 1, 2025. There is one other ATP Tour event this week (Dubai Tennis Championships).
The Mexican Open was founded in 1993 and played in Mexico City until 2000. The tournament relocated to the city of Acapulco in 2001 and it remains there in 2025, albeit in a new arena.
Fans in the United States can watch live coverage of every round of the Mexican Open on Tennis Channel. Airtime will be shared with the Dubai Tennis Championships and two WTA events (ATX Open and Merida Open Akron).
The prize money on offer to the players at the Mexican Open this week is $2.76 million. The event will award just under half a million dollars to the winner.

Alex de Minaur won the 2024 Mexican Open, beating Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4 in the final. He also overcame Jack Draper and Stefanos Tsitsipas earlier in the tournament.
The Australian, who also lifted the trophy in 2023, did not enter this year’s event so there will definitely be another winner.
