HINCKLEY, Ohio – The IU Indianapolis men’s golf team will return to action this week when the Jaguars participate in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational, hosted by Cleveland State at Pine Hills Golf Course. Head coach Jamie Broce has the luxury of taking nine players as his travel crew will include a five-man varsity entry and four individual participants. True freshman Daymian Rij leads the varsity group with a 74.17 stroke average through the season’s first two events and sophomore Brady Schier sits second at 74.50.
They’ll be joined by Colten Girgis, Sam McWilliams and Titus Boswell for this week’s event. The Jags placed eighth of 15 teams at Oakland’s Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate with a 54-hole 896 (302-298-296) against a field that included eight Horizon League teams. Schier paced the Jaguars at 6-over 222 and Rij shot 8-over 224.
Of the four individual entries, Harry Ward will make his season debut and redshirt freshman Greg Miller will make his collegiate debut.
