NASHPORT, Ohio – The Belmont men’s golf team stands in ninth place in the middle of the second round of the Virtues Intercollegiate held in Nashport, Ohio.
Heavy rain and poor course conditions have forced the event to be shortened to 36 holes.
Approximately 55 players (including all the Belmont golfers) could not complete the second and final round due to the weather and darkness. Those players will finish their round tomorrow morning and the then the tournament results will be finalized.
The Bruins currently stand in ninth place at +10. Michigan has the team lead at -17, with James Madison in second at -14.
Sophomore Chris Harpum leads Belmont as he is tied for 13th place at -1. He is six strokes back of the individual leader, Yuqi Liu of Michigan (-7).
Fellow sophomore Grant Clark is four shots back of Harpum and in a tie for 39th place at +3.
Other Belmont scores include: junior Conner Brown (T-45, +4), sophomore Jack Darke (T-53, +5), and graduate student Foster Wood (T-75, +9).
