The Kent State men’s golf team is set to conclude their Fall season this week with the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The 12-team event is set for a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Monday morning.

Notes:
- Monday will mark the first time that the Flashes have ever competed in the Flyer Invitational.
- Jordan Gilkison leads the Flashes lineup once again. The senior leads the teams with a 71.08 scoring average and has recorded top-ten individual finishes in his last two appearances at the Fighting Irish Classic and Blessings Collegiate. Gilkison was named MAC golfer of the week following his 1-under-par performance at the Fighting Irish Classic two weeks ago.
- Isaiah Ibit will look to close his first collegiate Fall season strong after an impressive start to his career. The freshman is second among Flashes who have competed in multiple team events with a 73.50 scoring average. After early-round struggles in his last outing at the Fighting Irish Classic, Ibit closed the event with a 69 in round three, his fourth round in the 60s this season.
- Bryce Reed is also set to conclude the Fall season having participated in every Flashes’ team event this season. The senior’s season has been highlighted by a fourth-place finish at September’s Canadian Collegiate.
- Nolan Haynes is set to make his third consecutive appearance in the Kent State lineup. Since being inserted into the lineup, the freshman has impressed, firing three rounds of 72 and finishing second among Flashes in both events he has participated in.
- Edvin Backstrom returns to the lineup after making his first appearance of the season as part of the Flashes’ team lineup last time out. The senior from Sweden finished tied for 43rd at the Fighting Irish Classic, highlighted by an opening round 71.
- Ramiro Acevedo and Connor Malicki are both set to compete as individuals this week after impressing at last Monday’s Golden Flash Individual. Malicki finished tied for second at even-par while Acevedo finished tied for fifth at 1-over-par.
