Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s golf team closed out their fall slate at the George Cangero Invitational this weekend.
The Ducks placed 10th overall, carding a +46 622 over the two days.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sebastian Beaver led the Ducks with +5, which was good for a 27th-place tie. Beaver shot two over in round one yesterday, registering two birdies and an eagle. He picked up a birdie on the par-5, fourth before playing holes 13-16 in -2. He carded the first eagle of the season for Stevens, scoring a three on the par-5 16th. Beaver racked up three birdies on Sunday, including two on the front nine, before shooting even on the final nine holes.
Punn Chittaratlert was tied for 37th after shooting +9. He had four birdies yesterday, opening the opening with one before gaining one on four en route to shooting an even-par 36 through nine. Chittaratlert registered back-to-back birdies on the 15th and 16th yesterday and today to close out his fall season.
Dillon Kim (+16) and Brock Dickson (+17) went to back-to-back. Kim shot +1 on the back nine yesterday, including a birdie on 13. Today he added a birdie on 16, shooting one under over the last five holes. Dickson rebounded from a slow start yesterday, carding a 38 on the back nine before birdieing the sixth hole today. He ended the round today with six consecutive pars. Alex Carey was the final competitor, notching a +22. He finished with one birdie over the 36 holes, hitting a four on the par-5, 16th yesterday.
