JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (October 8th, 2024) – Mount St. Mary’s men’s golf finished in fifth place with Devin Smith leading the golfers by finishing tied for second with a gross score of 143 (72-71, +3). The women’s golf team finished in sixth place with Makensy Knaub again leading the golfers by finishing tied for fifth place with a gross score of 150 (74-76, +10).
MENS RESULTS
Youngstown State finished in first place with a gross score of 579 (+19) following day two of play finishing three strokes ahead of Cleveland State in second. Then following Cleveland State in third place is Bucknell finishing four-strokes behind them. For the individual leaderboard, Nicholas Turowski of West Virginia (IND) finished in first place with a score of 139 (-1) between both days.
Aaron Sorkin finished tied for 11th place following a 75 (+5) day, while Martin Hurtado finished tied for 21st after shooting a 76 (+6) day. Daniel Shelley finished tied for 44th place following a 79 (+9) day, while Fisher Coleman-Sayer finished in 48th place following a 79 (+9) day.
WOMENS RESULTS
Purdue Fort Wayne finished in first place with a gross score of 606 (+46), finishing four strokes ahead of Bucknell and Stonehill who finished tied for second. For the individual leaderboard, Sasha Petrochko of Duquesne finished in first place
Naomi Yacyshen finished tied for 13th following another 78 (+8) day, while Jennifer Sorkin finished tied for 17th with a gross score of 158 (79-78, +17). Erika Cui finished in 34th following a 86 (+16) day, while Allie Sexton finished tied for 42nd following a 89 (+19) day.
