LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Belmont men’s golf team finished in 12th place at the Cullan Brown Collegiate held this week at Lexington Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Bruins posted rounds of 308 and 306 on Tuesday to move up two spots from round one and finish in 12thplace at 929. Kennesaw State won the team title at 881, while North Alabama placed second at 895.
Belmont had two golfers finish among the top-40. Junior Conner Brown carded rounds of 79, 72, and 77 to finish in a tie for 33rd place at 228. He finished 10 strokes back of the medalists: Claes Borregaard of Kennesaw State and Andrew Ferworm of North Alabama (218).
Sophomore Chris Harpum finished one shot back of Brown and in a tie for 37th place at 229. He shot rounds of 77, 79, and 73.
Other Belmont scores from the tournament include: sophomore Grey Goff (T-43, 230), freshman Brennan Cozad (78th, 244), and graduate student Foster Wood (T-82, 253).
The men’s golf team is back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Pinetree Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Georgia.
