PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The Central Arkansas men’s golf team wrapped up the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Tuesday, finishing in 11th place. The Bears were bolstered by a top-10 finish from Kalle Svederman.
Svederman led the Bears with a 2-over 73 on Tuesday, finishing the front nine at a 1-under. His three-round score locked in at a 218. Vukasin Suturovic played his way to a third-round score of 77, capping a tournament score of 222. Maksymilian Bialy shot a 77 on Tuesday, turning in a final score of 226.
Sam Norman tallied a 78 on Tuesday, rounding out a final score of 227. Bogdan Sandrini penciled in five birdies across his final 18 holes, playing his best round of the week for a score of 75. Abderrahmane Fakori capped his tournament with a 77, finishing off a 236.
USF claimed the team medal, finishing with an even 852 after three rounds. North Alabama took home second place, with Abilene Christian finishing in third. USF also had the top-two individual finishers, with winner Jake Peacock and second place Shubham Jaglan defeating the previous day’s leader, FGCU’s Christian Figueredo.
With the Florida Atlantic Invitational wrapped up, the Bears go on hibernation until the spring season. Next time Central Arkansas competes will be in the Rice Invitational in February. For complete stats and standings, visit the tournament page.
