CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina University head men’s golf coach Jacob Wilner has announced the addition of three signees in Lucas Arntsen (Chanhassen, Minn./Chanhassen High School), Harrison James (Chapin, S.C./Chapin High School), and Cameron Roberts (Pikeville, Ky./Pikeville High School).
“We are so pumped about this signing class, Wilner said. These three young men embody our vision, goals and future of our program. Cam, Harry and Lucas all have the talent, experience and attitude to hit the ground running next fall”
Lucas Arntsen: Chanhassen, Minn. (Chanhassen High School)
Lucas is a multi-event winner and has been named to the Minnesota Metro West All-Conference Team three consecutive seasons (2021-23). He was also named Minnesota Metro West Honorable Mention All-Conference.
He shot a six-under 66 and received the Minnesota Metro West Player of the Year award in 2023 and won the 2022 Notah Begay III Regional qualifier after carding a five-under 139 (71-68).
Arntsen helped lead Chanhassen to a conference championship and a sectional regional championship in 2022.
Coach Wilner on Lucas:
“Lucas just keeps getting better and better. He is well coached, has a high golf IQ and wants to win events for the Chants throughout his career.”
Harrison James: Chapin, S.C. (Chapin High School)
James is an in-state talent from Chapin who has blossomed into one of the top junior golfers in the state. He was the Lower State Championship medalist and was also the Georgia-South Carolina Challenge medalist while leading the South Carolina team to its third consecutive championship in the challenge match. As a junior, he was named to the South Carolina All-State Team following his tie for eighth at the Class 5A State Tournament.
Coach Wilner on Harrison:
“Harry is a stud. Very technically sound, strong and brings a wealth of experience on a big stage with his golf game. He too is excited about wearing Teal come August.”
Cameron Roberts: Pikeville, Ky. (Pikeville High School)
Cameron Roberts is the third ranked golfer in the state of Kentucky and over the course of his junior season, won nine of the 13 tournaments he played in. He won the 15th Region All “A” Classic with a personal and school record 63 and finishing the tournament eight-under par. Roberts then turned around and won the 2024 All “A” Classic State Tournament and was a finalist for the Kentucky Mr. Golf award.

“Cam has had a great high school career and has a knack for winning. He has power, self-belief and is so pumped about playing for Teal Nation next fall.”
