JACKSON, Tenn. – Belmont men’s golf alum Winston Margaritis captured the Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship this week at Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tennessee.
Margaritis, who played for the Bruins during the 2022-23 season, shot a final round 69 on Friday to capture the title by four shots over Hunter Garrett.
The Germantown, Tennessee native carded rounds of 69, 71, and 69 over three days to finish with a total of 209.
Fellow Belmont golf alum Brenton Flynn also competed in the event and tied for fifth place at the event with a 54-hole score of 215.
Margaritis is the first Belmont men’s golfer to capture Tennessee’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Belmont’s Division I era.
