JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men’s golf announces an important addition to its 2024-25 roster with the signing of Eastern Florida transfer Adam Vermut, as announced by Director of Golf Scott Schroeder on Tuesday afternoon.
“Adam [Vermut] is a talented player with a good upside,” said Schroeder. “It will be fun to try to help take his game to the next level.”
Vermut is the lone newcomer thus far on the current 10-man roster for the Ospreys heading into the fall season. He is one of eight players from within the state of Florida, as the hometown player is also one of seven UNF student-athletes on the team from the First Coast.

Prior to UNF: Played at Eastern Florida during his freshman and sophomore seasons from 2022-24…earned NJCAA Division I PING All-American Honorable Mention honors…also selected to the PING All-District Team in 2023…named to the Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars list in 2023-24…individual winner at Coastal Alabama Invitational at 2-under…was the runner-up at Dan York Memorial at 2-under as well.
Junior/Amateur: Played high school golf for all four years at Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies…won the Class 1A Regional individual champion at 1-over as a senior in 2022…also earned the medalist crown as the Gateway Individual champion scoring 6-under…finished as runner-up in FHSAA State Tournament during 2021 season…also finished as Class 1A Regional champions and District 4 Class 1A champions.
Personal: Played HS golf at Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies, but was home-schooled…also played tennis in high school…son of Richard and Cindy Vermut…also has one brother, Steven (23)…mother, Cindy, played collegiate tennis at West Florida…born on Jun. 17, 2003…plans to major in sport management.
