LAWRENCE, Kan. – Head Coach Jamie Bermel and the Kansas men’s golf team announced the addition of Arthur Carlier to the 2025 signing class on Wednesday.
Carlier hails from Soissons, France, where he competed at Institut of Golf National in Paris. In 2024, Carlier won the Côte d’Opale Grand Prix. He also took second in four other tournaments this past year including the Grand Prix St. Germain France, the Carris Trophee English U18 – Ormskirk Club Great Britain, the Carris Trophee English U18 – Ormskirk Club Great Britain, and the Illouz Cup – Racing Club France.
Carlier played an important role for his national team, being selected for the European Boys’ Amateur Team Championship. Carlier and his squad went on to win the event, resulting in an eight-place finish individually. Carlier was also selected to represent the European Continent at the Jacques Leglise Trophee and the French Team for the quadrangular – Hossegor Golf France.
“Arthur is an accomplished player from France and keeps getting better each year,” Bermel said about Carlier. “He had a really solid summer, and we can’t wait to get him on campus in August. I think he will compete for a spot very quickly. We feel his best days of golf are still in front of him and we are very excited he signed with the Jayhawks.”
Carlier is the son of Philippe Carlier and Elisa Richet. He has two brothers, Valentin (30) and Edouard (10). Carlier plans to major in business and management while at KU.
