Memphis basketball − the top 3-point shooting team in the country − will try to keep its momentum going against San Francisco today.
Penny Hardaway’s Tigers (3-0) have stopped off at the Chase Center on their way to the Maui Invitational for a neutral-site game against the Dons (4-0).
San Francisco presents a challenge unlike any Memphis has faced this season. The Dons are a top-100 scoring offense at 84 points per game. They are also winning convincingly, sporting a 23.5-point average margin of victory.
Freshman Tyrone Riley IV leads San Francisco at 19.5 points per game.
Memphis, meanwhile, is shooting 49.1% beyond the arc through three games and ranks 29th in the country in effective field goal percentage (58.8%).

Memphis basketball vs. San Francisco will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU. Barry Tompkins and Dan Belluomini will call the game from the Chase Center. Streaming options for the game include ESPN+.
The toughest game on the Tigers’ schedule thus far, the Dons will test Penny Hardaway’s team. Far from a standard pre-Maui Invitational tune-up, Memphis will have its hands full. But the Tigers will prevail in a squeaker.
Game lines and odds from BetMGM as of Thursday:
Tigers Tyrese Hunter (kneecap) and PJ Haggerty (knee) have played through injury issues that have kept them off the practice floor much of the past two-plus weeks. But neither is expected to be restricted in games because of them.
