With Media City Qatar as the principal partner, this year’s Ajyal festival is set to elevate Qatar’s role in the media, entertainment, and film industries, attracting creators, filmmakers, and audiences from around the world.
“Our partnership for the 2024 Ajyal Film Festival, presented by DFI, demonstrates Media City Qatar’s commitment to boosting Qatar’s creative sector,” said engineer Jassim Mohamed al-Khori, CEO of Media City Qatar.
“By supporting events like Ajyal, we are creating new opportunities for creators to share their work and contribute to Qatar’s content creation and creative economy. This festival is a key moment in reinforcing Qatar’s position as a leading force in global media,” he explained.
DFI CEO and Ajyal festival director Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, said: “Our partnership with Media City Qatar marks an important milestone, allowing us to deepen our dedication to creative excellence and further position Qatar as a thriving hub for innovation in the arts.”
A highlight of Media City Qatar’s involvement in this edition of the festival is the exclusive premiere of a new episode of The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition Season 2, which showcases Qatar’s unique culture and landscapes.
The Apprentice is a co-production by Media City Qatar and Group ONE Holdings, with three episodes filmed across several iconic locations in Qatar, spotlighting the country’s growing presence on the world’s entertainment stage.
The special screening will include a red carpet event followed by a screening and a panel discussion featuring key figures.
