There are very few players on the PGA Tour that have the presence and personality to draw any sort of true attention or interaction, Max Homa is one of those few. Sure, there are recognizable names and people you see while watching Tour coverage, but Max has transcended that, in a sport full of beige and bland, he is a conversation driver. Today it is being announced officially, that Max Homa signs with Cobra Golf.
So, when whispers began to circulate that he was potentially leaving Titleist, there was immediate conversation and curiosity. Even on the THP Community, the topic grew with many making assumptions that there was either no way he would really leave, or that there was only one other viable destination for him.
Well, Max has never been one to follow the crowd, but what he is, is thorough. Regardless of what you might think, this is a big free agent, as Max Homa has what all companies want, personality and drive. After much testing of many brands, it is Cobra Golf that came out on top and according to the company Max will play Cobra clubs and wear Puma shoes for ’25 and beyond.
When you stop and think about it, is there a better situation for both parties potentially? Cobra has long been looking for that next personality to bring into a company that we have seen evolve in front of our very own eyes, after the departure of Bryson DeChambeau there was a hole left behind. Bringing a player like Max Homa on board alongside Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland makes quite the solid stable of players for a brand of Cobra Golf’s footprint and could offer a new level of possibilities. What are your thoughts on the signing? Are we about to get to see the real Max Homa as he enters into a new era with a company that doesn’t shy away from bold? Jump into the conversation below as well as on the THP Community and let us know how you feel about Max and Cobra joining forces.
