If it hasn’t already set in, Monday night made things extra official: Luka Doncic really is a Los Angeles Laker.
The former Dallas Mavericks superstar left a strong impression on fans at Crypto.com Arena in his Lakers debut, posting 14 points, five rebounds and four assists in a 132-113 win over Utah. Lakers fans weren’t the only ones reacting to Doncic’s first meeting in purple and gold. The Slovenian standout was a trending topic throughout the evening, capturing the attention of social media users around the world.
Here’s a look at how the nation reacted to Doncic’s first game as a Laker:
Maybe I am wrong and maybe Dirk’s tweet is innocuous, but Dirk could easily show up and support Luka without making it known on social. He knows what he’s doing and he’s making it clear where he stands not only on the trade but the general direction of the Mavs org. #TeamDirk

Also, have they started printing the L-u-k-A shirts yet? I’ll need a cut please and thank you.

Dammit.
He should not be a Laker.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for Mavericks fans, Dirk Nowitzki is at the Lakers game for Luka Doncic’s LA debut.
