MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Golfers had the opportunity to raise money for an animal shelter at the annual Tee Up 4 Tails outing at the Marquette Golf Club.
Thirty-six teams of golfers came to the Heritage Course for a shotgun start Thursday morning to support the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS).
There were also “top dog” sponsors at holes and events throughout the day.
A UPAWS fundraising volunteer said that the outing is a great way to have fun while supporting a good cause.
“Well, if you like to golf, it’s a fun event to attend,” Karen Rhodes said. “We have some teams that maybe came for the first time this year they’re maybe not tied and dyed in the world of golfers”
Raffle items were also available. Winners were announced at lunch following the outing.
