PENNSYLVANIA (WBNG) — March is recognized as Gambling Awareness Month in Pennsylvania and New York.
On March 3, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul issued a report outlining the collective events of various individuals and organizations coming together to provide support and awareness about the often overlooked addiction to gambling.
This year’s theme is “Seek Understanding”, focusing on increasing awareness of problem gambling as a serious but under-recognized mental health condition.
The National Council on Problem Gambling created the National Gambling Awareness Month.
