SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized after being shot in a South Side shopping center.
The shooting happened just after 11 a.m. Monday at a shopping center off Goliad Road near Southeast Military Drive.
A witness told police that they saw the man being shot and a vehicle speeding out of the parking lot.
Police said they found the suspect’s vehicle at a Murphy’s gas station off Southeast Military Drive and South New Braunfels Avenue.
Officers went inside the station and found the suspect that matched the description given to them.
Investigators said the man was possibly shot with an AR-15 assault rifle, which officers later recovered at a nearby location.
The victim is at the hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
