TILLAMOOK, Ore. (KPTV) – A 68-year-old man died at a hospital Saturday after he was crushed by a tree on a golf course, according to the Tillamook Fire District.
Just after 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a golfer hit and pinned by a large tree at the Alderbrook Golf Course, located at 7300 Alderbrook Road. Crews arrived to the golf course and quickly removed the about 20-inch wide tree with a chainsaw.

The man was taken to Adventist Health Tillamook where he later died from his injuries. The golf course identified the man who died as Bob Dunn, who said he was one of their “cherished and faithful golfers.”
The golf course posted a statement on Facebook following his death, saying, in part:
“Bob was not only a dedicated member of our golf community, but also a beloved friend to many. His presence on the course brought joy and camaraderie, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, offering them comfort and strength as they navigate through this unimaginable loss. We encourage everyone to respect their privacy and join us in honoring Bob’s memory.”
