LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The man arrested for the murder of a 25-year-old South Carolina man pleaded guilty Thursday, officials say.
22-year-old Londell Thompson, Jr. was arrested for the murder of Anthony Colden, II, in the Golf Park Drive homicide on June 1, 2022.

Thompson pleaded guilty to two amended charges:
Officials say he also pleaded guilty to a felony charge of Child Abuse.
According to officials, the Commonwealth moved to nolle prosequi the following:
Officials say the amendment of the charges was due to a change in their eyewitness testimony and that Colden’s family was consulted and accepted the plea agreement to the charges.
There is no agreement as to sentence.
Sentencing is set for May 21, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lynchburg Circuit Court before Judge Yeatts.
