PRINCETON, W. Va. (WVVA) -If you are waiting until the last minute to find that perfect gift for someone special, a local gift shop says you aren’t alone.

The time around Valentine’s Day always brings people out to Princeton’s Willow Tree Gift Gallery and Four Seasons Pharmacy, with one employee saying, excluding Christmas, this is their busiest time of year, with people coming from all over the area to find things they can’t find other places.

“…They like coming here because it’s unique. We have people from Peterstown, Richlands, Grundy… but they really like coming in to shop and we have some that come every year, and they say we just stop in every year so we can shop at the Willow,” says Sarah Lynn French, a manager at The Willow Gift Gallery and Four Seasons Pharmacy.

French says in the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, they sell a lot of cards, but, like at Christmas, customers tend to come out to do some last-minute shopping. She says some of the popular gifts people buy include Simply Southern Shirts and Pandora jewelry, but she also suggests a more unconventional Valentine’s Day gift: interchangeable mats with matching flags.

Whatever heart-themed gift you’re looking for, French recommends looking local first, so you can see what you’re buying before the big day.

“You can see the product and you know the size of it, and you can kind of shop around for the price, the right price, and you might find stuff on sale…” says French, “…just come and look at all the unique stuff we have… It is great.”

The Willow Tree Gift Gallery is located at 300 Morrison Drive in Princeton. They are open Monday through Friday 8:00 am through 8:00 pm and on the weekend from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
