TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A gym is offering a boxing class to help people with Parkinson’s live their best life!
Sweat Therapy Fitness is hosting a free community event on Saturday aimed at educating the community about Parkinson’s disease and providing information on new treatments and advancements.
Proceeds from the event will benefit individuals who have Parkinson’s and cannot afford to attend the Rock Steady Boxing Program.
Participants work on their range of movement, balance, core strength, flexibility, posture and more while offering different class levels to accommodate different types of Parkinson’s.
The event is happening Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Maguire Center at Westminster Oaks, located at 4449 Meandering Way.
