The high school football season enters Week 3 with many intriguing nonleague matchups.

FINAL: Grace 22, Ridgeview 21; Lancers improve to 3-1

FINAL: Nordhoff 35, Vasquez 0; Rangers improve to 3-0.

FINAL: Paraclete 21, Westlake 14; another close loss for Warriors, who fall to 0-4. Westlake has only been outscored by 18 total points in four games.

FINAL: Buena 21, San Marcos 20; Bulldogs, who led 21-0 entering 4th quarter, stop 2-point conversion near end of game to improve to 2-2 on season.

FINAL: Agoura 20, Calabasas 17; Chargers (3-1) win Las Virgenes Cup for consecutive seasons for the first time since 2012-13. Coyotes (3-1) suffer first loss of season.

FINAL: Pacifica 28, Rio Mesa 21; Tritons rally to improve to 3-1 on season; Spartans fall to 2-2.

FINAL: Ventura 35, Camarillo 34; Cougars (1-2) go 80 yards in 12 plays in final 3:48 to come from behind for first win of season. Scorpions drop to 1-3.

FINAL: Santa Margarita 37, Oaks Christian 17. The Lions (2-2) will host Serra of Gardena (2-1) next Thursday at Bill Redell Field at Thorson Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Gage Kushner’s 2-yard TD run with 10.7 seconds left ties the game and then PAT gives Ventura a 35-34 lead over Camarillo.

Isaiah Dillon scores on a 13-yard pass from Dominic Duran with 50 seconds left in the game as Pacifica takes a 28-21 lead over Rio Mesa.

FINAL: La Canada 28, Santa Paula 20; Cardinals (2-1) suffer first loss of season.

FINAL: Newbury Park 44, St. Pius 14; Panthers improve to 4-0

FINAL: Santa Barbara 28, Moorpark 21; Musketeers (3-1) fall in battle of unbeatens; Dons now 4-0.

Alijah Royster scores on 1-yard run as Pacifica ties Rio Mesa at 21-21 with 6:37 left in game.

After allowing a TD to go down 28-14, Moorpark punches right back as Luke Eldridge delivers a 64-yard touchdown to Cooper Cronquist to bring the deficit back down to one score. Santa Barbara 28, Moorpark 21; 4:45 left in Q4.

Josh Woodworth takes a screen 43 yards for a TD to pull Ventura within 31-28 of Camarillo with 9:45 to play.

Camarillo leads Ventura 31-21 after three quarters.

San Marcos has cut Buena’s lead to 21-4 with five minutes left in game. Bulldogs had 21-0 edge entering fourth quarter.

La Canada extends lead over Santa Paula to 28-14 early in 4th quarter.

Moorpark makes a huge stop on fourth down in its own territory, reclaiming possession early in the fourth quarter. Santa Barbara 21, Moorpark 14, with 9:22 left in game.

FINAL: Simi Valley 49, Saugus 0; Pioneers now 4-0 on season.

With Moorpark driving down the field, Santa Barbara High’s Javier Valencia forces a fumble that the Dons pick up to regain possession as the fourth quarter begins. Santa Barbara 21, Moorpark 14. End of Q3

Camarillo takes the second-half kickoff and drives into Ventura territory, but a sack by LB Tristan Phillips on fourth and 5 ends the threat. Scorpions lead 24-21 with 8:26 left in Q3.

With 5:11 left in the half, Ryan Leff hits a 32-yard field goal to extend the Thousand Oaks lead to 27-0 over West Ranch.

Halftime: Ridgeview 21, Grace 8

Royal trails Harvard-Westlake 15-7 after three quarters.

Tomas Gil caps off a 13-play drive for Santa Barbara with an 11-yard rushing touchdown on an end-around play to regain the lead. Santa Barbara 21, Moorpark 14; with 4:20 left in Q3

La Canada takes 21-14 lead over Santa Paula in 3rd quarter.

Connor Petrov throws 27-yard TD pass to Micah Hannah as Simi Valley extends lead to 49-0 over Saugus in 3rd quarter.

Blake Eberhard with a 90-yard TD pass to Aaron Cesario as Buena takes 21-0 lead over San Marcos in 3rd quarter.

La Canada ties Santa Paula 14-14 in third quarter.

Moorpark starts the second half with a bang as Eli Hensley and Cooper Cronquist connect for 37 yards to get down the field then come together for a 9-yard touchdown to even the score. Moorpark 14, Santa Barbara 14; 10:08 left in Q3

Tyler Hoff with a 45-yard rushing TD as Buena takes 14-0 lead over San Marcos in 3rd quarter.

HALFTIME: Camarillo 24, Ventura 21; Scorpions scored 24 straight points to climb out of a 14-0 hole, but Josh Whitworth reeled in a 40-yard TD strike on third and 22 with 16 seconds left in the half for the Cougars.

HALFTIME: Rio Mesa 21, Pacifica 14; Clock has malfunctioned the entire half. J.J. Bittner has rushed for 115 yards and two TDs for Rio Mesa. Sophomore Alijah Royster has scored twice for Pacifica. Isaiah Dillon set up Pacifica’s second TD with a 51-yard catch.

Brady Smigiel and Shane Rosenthal hook up for third TD connection of game, this time from 12 yards out. Newbury Park leads St. Pius 23-7 at halftime.

Fillmore fell to host Burbank 39-14 on Thursday night to drop to 0-4 on the season. Jojo Cruz rushed for 149 yards and 21 carries, Saul Fraga had two receptions for 86 yards and a TD, and Joey Ocegueda had two catches for 35 yards and a TD for the Flashes.
