Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka has split with his longtime swing instructor, Claude Harmon III. Koepka, 34, confirmed the move Friday afternoon in a text message to Golfweek.

“Pete Cowen and Jeff Pierce will be handling everything golf-related,” Koepka wrote of his plans for the 2025 season.

Cowen and Pierce are longtime members of Koepka’s coaching team, with Cowen having been primarily responsible for short game while Pierce handles putting. Harmon had served as his full swing teacher.

This is not the first time Koepka and Harmon have parted ways. The two began working together in 2013 when Koepka was an unknown competing on the minor league European Challenge Tour. He went on to win eight times on the PGA Tour, including four major championships, and reached No. 1 in the world before he and Harmon ceased working together in November 2020.

In June of 2022, Koepka joined LIV Golf and later that year rehired Harmon as his instructor. He went on to win five times on the LIV circuit and added a fifth major title at the 2023 PGA Championship.

Harmon also confirmed the split. “Yes, not working with him,” he wrote in a text message. “Proud of the things we did together when I came back at the back end of 2022.”

Harmon continues to work with LIV’s Dustin Johnson and U.S. Amateur finalist Noah Kent, who will compete later this year at the Masters and U.S. Open.
