MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Harding golf team delivered a strong performance at the 2024 NSU Men’s Classic, hosted by Northeastern State at Muskogee Country Club. With a total score of 835, Harding claimed second place of 17 teams, just one stroke behind tournament champion Henderson State.
This impressive finish marked the third-best 54-hole score in Harding’s program history. The team’s consistency was on full display, with rounds of 278, 280, and 277.
Individually, Christian Lindgreen led the charge for Harding, tying for third place with a 54-hole score of 205. This outstanding performance tied for the fifth-best individual score in program history. Lindgreen’s scorecard showed remarkable consistency, with rounds of even par, 5 under, and 3 under.
Jose Manuel Peralta and Dennis Staykov also made significant contributions to Harding’s success. Peralta tied for seventh place with a score of 212, while Staykov jumped 14 spots to also tie for seventh.
Harding’s second-place finish is its second top-five of the season. The Bisons are back in action Oct. 7-8 at the Central Region Preview, hosted by Missouri Western at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Missouri.
