According to reports, Lil Tjay has taken aim at Offset, alleging the Atlanta rapper is facing financial troubles and battling a gambling problem.
During a Twitch stream on Wednesday (January 8), Tjay recounted an encounter at a casino where he claimed Offset, desperate after a losing streak, was frantically asking others for money. He cited, “Why I diss Offset? Offset is broke. I’ll tell y’all a true story: I seen the n-gga in the casino. He was popped, he was panicking. He was asking random people for Cash Apps. He was broke.” “I don’t know what happened, nobody was answering his phone calls. He was trying to run up, chasing, chasing, chasing. He must have a gambling addiction.”
Furthermore, he recalled lending Offset $5,000 and that the “WORTH IT” rapper sought loans from others at the casino. Tjay further claims giving Offset an additional $5,000 but has yet to be reimbursed for any of it. He stated, “I see like 13 bands in loans. I don’t know who got paid back that day. This n-gga’s ducked me for so long, boy. Mind you, I’m 23 and this is ‘raindrop, drop-top,’ Cardi B’s husband.”
Lil Tjay’s remarks surface in the wake of alleged messages with Offset, where he purportedly threatened to “smack” him over the unresolved $10,000 debt.
Tjay said via Instagram messages, “Wyaaaaaaaa ngl ima smack the whole shit out you.” The “Clout” rapper then responded with, “[L]ol huh u joking rightJ. ust seen this pop up u gotta be the wrong n-gga u texting boy I’ll smoke you.” “U barely lived already who tf you think you talking too n-gga. U gotta be talking to the wrong n-gga. I’m in Newyork right now. Come smack me lil boy.”
Upon learning from Tjay that he was in Miami, Offset replied, “If it’s that stop dm me for trace reasons.” “Nah never tht lil bro I just want my ten [salute emoji],” Tjay answered. Offset then diffused the situation, saying, “Say dat.”
