The 2024 edition of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) is set to kick off on September 20 at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. This marks the beginning of a four-leg tournament that will also feature matches in Surat, Jammu and Srinagar. The final is scheduled for October 16 at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
Six teams will compete in the tournament: Southern Superstars, Ultimate Toyam Hyderabad, Manipal Tigers, Gujarat Greats, India Capitals and Konark Suryas Odisha.
Konark Suryas Odisha replaces Bhilwara Kings, who were part of the 2023 season.
The teams have been divided into two groups of three, with each team playing a total of seven matches. In the league stage, teams will play each other twice within their group and once against teams in the opposing group. The top four teams from both groups will advance to the playoffs.
In the playoffs, the top two teams will compete in a Qualifier to secure a direct spot in the final. The third and fourth-ranked teams will face off in an Eliminator to determine who will advance to the semifinals. The losing team from the Qualifier will have a second chance to reach the final by playing the winner of the Eliminator.
Notably, the recently-retired Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik are set to make their debuts in the biggest T20 league for the legendary cricketers.
