Leeds United defender Junior Firpo has been given a three-match ban for violent conduct during Wednesday’s Championship defeat at Millwall.
The Football Association suspension will see the 28-year-old miss Saturday’s Championship game against QPR as well as upcoming matches against Swansea and Luton.
“The defender’s behaviour around the 95th minute wasn’t seen by the match officials, but was caught on video, and the FA alleged that it constitutes violent conduct,” said a statement.
Firpo, who has played in all but one of Leeds’ 14 Championship matches this season, denied the charge, but an independent regulatory commission found it proven.
